Shadow Shot Sunday

Mandeville, Louisiana
Fontainebleau State Park

Had a friend in town last week, visiting New Orleans for the first time.  He wanted to dive head-first into Louisiana, dig a little deeper than Nouvelle Orléans and the Vieux Carré.  So the boy and I decided to take him for a long, lovely, lazy day on the North Shore.

Along the boardwalk,
we saw herons and ‘gators—

Very cool shots.

The wire shadows are cool, they appear as a geometric web that draws the visitor into the spider's trap. Actually the waters of Pontchartrain and the attendant briny breezes looks to be a treat under a blue sky. Neat!

I love the way the shadows fill the wooden bridge ... makes it look like a net has been thrown over it.

Wow these are wonderful shadows ~ love the design they weave along the boardwalk ~ I'm visiting late, I know. Been a busy week at work.

Thanks for stopping by for last week's shadow shot fun.
